David Jamison, a World War II veteran and retired American Standard Corp. worker, died Thursday in his Buffalo home after a long illness. He was 82.
He worked at American Standard for 29 years and then at the Seibel Modern Manufacturing Co. until retiring in 1988.
Born in Orangeburg, S.C., Mr. Jamison served in the Army Air Forces from 1943 to 1946, then moved to Buffalo.
He was a life member of St. Luke African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, its Men's Club and its Steward Board.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, the former Annie Waymyers; two daughters, Deborah Imperial of Baltimore and Barbara of Buffalo; a son, Darryl Coleman of Fredonia; three brothers, Willie, Horace and Walter, all of Buffalo; 16 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at noon Thursday in St. Luke Church, 314 E. Ferry St. Burial will be in Forest Lawn.
