Daniel F. Citak, a Lackawanna native and retired Brevard County (Fla.) Court judge, died of cancer Monday in his Titusville, Fla., home. He was 75.
While pursuing his education, from high school diploma to law degree, Mr. Citak worked at Bethlehem Steel Corp., among other places.
After graduating from Boston University Law School in 1953, he served two years in the Army.
Mr. Citak had been a member of the Civil Air Patrol and New York State Guard.
He was admitted to practice law in Massachusetts, Florida and New York and was a civil and criminal trial lawyer in Buffalo and Titusville. In 1968, he moved to Brevard County, where he served as a County Court judge from 1973 to 1989.
Survivors include his wife, the former Alice Kopczynski of Titusville; a son, Martin J. of Ormond Beach, Fla; a daughter Anne
Marie Furrh of Titusville; a brother, John F. Jr. of the Town of Tonawanda; and two stepgrandsons.
Services will be Friday in Florida.
