JAMESTOWN -- A Jamestown man faces several charges, including driving while intoxicated, after he allegedly hit a pedestrian Sunday, police said.
Joseph Fiorella, 60, also was charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident and reckless endangerment.
According to Jamestown police, Fiorella narrowly missed hitting a pedestrian at the intersection of Falconer and Stowe streets at about 9:30 p.m. before eventually backing into the victim.
He then allegedly fled and was later arrested at his home.
Fiorella posted bail and is to appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date. The victim, whose name was not released, was not seriously hurt.

A Sycamore Street man was robbed at gunpoint by two men late Monday afternoon near his house, Buffalo police reported.
The victim told police he was standing next to his yard at about 5:30 p.m. when two men approached him. One of the men pulled out a long-barrel pistol or revolver and pointed it at him, demanding money.
The two robbers made off with the victim's wallet, which contained $30 cash.
