SPAGHETTI DINNERS will be served from noon to 5 p.m. March 12 in Sears Street Hall, 165 Sears St., by the Ushers Association of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Tickets at the door will be $6 for adults and $3 for children 12 and younger and include salad, spaghetti, ice cream and coffee. A cash bar will be provided.

Since arriving in Buffalo in January 2004, the Pauline Priests and Brothers have worked with the Corpus Christi congregation to revitalize many cherished religious and ethnic celebrations as well as to introduce new devotions. A capital campaign with a goal of $1 million was launchded last May for "brick and mortar" projects that will secure the preservation of the house of worship. Nearly $250,000 has been pledged, mostly from the congregation. For information, visit orcall 896-1050.


ELVIS NOTE -- Marge Thielman Hastreiter sent word that Elvis impersonator Marc Cole will perform at a cabin fever party from 7 to 11 p.m. March 3 in Iron Island Museum, 998 Lovejoy St.

"This is a fund-raiser for the Iron Island Preservation Society of Lovejoy," she wrote. She also described Cole as "the best Elvis voice in the area." The tab will be $10 and includes pop and munchies. Hastreiter and Kitty Hastings are co-chairwomen.


DUCK SOUP along with chicken soup, barbecue hamburgers and roast beef sandwiches will be available at a theme tray walk March 5 at St. Josaphat's Parish Center, William and Peoria streets, Cheektowaga.

Doors will open for the St. Josaphat's Mothers Club event at 11 a.m.. Drawings will be held at 2 p.m. An admission card of 25 numbers is $4 and an extra card of 25 numbers will cost$2.


MILITARY NOTE -- Airman 1st Class Michael Berst, a 2002 graduate of Depew High School, has completed the six-week basic military training course at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the grandson of Linda Eisenhauer of Depew.
