Helen May Reading, a former home health care aide, died Sunday in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a brief illness. She was 67.
She was born Helen May VanGorder in Niagara Falls, where she attended city schools.
She worked several years as a home health care aide for the Health Association of Niagara County.
Mrs. Reading was a member of the Ladies Auxiliaries of Niagara Active Hose Company; John J. Welch Post 381, American Legion; and LaSalle Post 1142, American Legion. She enjoyed her visits to the local senior center.
Her husband, Harry F., died in 1996.
Survivors include two daughters, Cindy L. LaChat and Debra Radle, and a son, William, all of the Town of Niagara; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Otto Redanz Funeral Home, 2215 Military Road. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston.
