Vincenzo A. "Jimmy" DePadre, a construction worker for Scrufari Construction Co. and member of Laborers Local 91, died Tuesday in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a long illness. He was 77.
Mr. DePadre was born in Niagara Falls and was a lifelong resident of the city, where he attended local schools.
He was a laborer with Local 91 in Niagara Falls for 39 years, most of which was spent working for Scrufari Construction until he retired in 1983.
Mr. DePadre was a longtime member of Our Lady of Lebanon Church, and a generous supporter of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. He enjoyed bowling and participated in bowling leagues in the area.
In addition to his wife of 56 years, the former Mary Cythers, he is survived by two daughters, Janice Raymond of Lodi, Calif., and Christine of Niagara Falls; two sons, Mark and David, both of Niagara Falls; three sisters, Mary Solady, Carmela Tedesco and Jenny Bato, all of Niagara Falls; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 8:30 p.m. Sunday in M.J. Colucci & Son Funeral Chapel, 468 19th St., Niagara Falls. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in St. Joseph Cemetery.
