Margaret Hoag, a retired customer service representative, died Monday in her Blasdell home after a brief illness. She was 91.
The former Margaret Moffat, she was a native of Motherwell, Scotland. She came to Buffalo in 1928 and stayed here until her death. She was married to the late Norman Hoag for 35 years and, after his death in 1969, worked as a customer service employee at the Twin Fair store on Seneca Street until her retirement in 1981.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and enjoyed bingo, knitting, reading and caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her survivors include a daughter, Carol Kicinski of Blasdell; a sister, Mary Helmbrecht of North Ridgeville, Ohio; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery in Hamburg.
