A memorial service for Judith Coon Kobee of Eggertsville, an active church worker and a retired teacher, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in University Presbyterian Church, 3330 Main St.
Fellow members of the church's hand bell choir will perform at the service.
Mrs. Kobee, who was born and raised in Eggertsville, died Feb. 6 in Millard Fillmore Hospital after a brief illness. She was 67.
She was a graduate of Amherst Central High School and received a bachelor's degree in home economics from Buffalo State College. She received a master's degree in elementary education from Canisius College.
Mrs. Kobee lived in New Jersey until the mid-1980s, when she returned to Eggertsville. She was an elementary teacher in Buffalo schools and active in University Presbyterian Church, where she was an elder, a member of the choir and hand bell choir and financial secretary.
She also was active in Presbyterian Women's organizations at local and state levels and a volunteer in her church food pantry.
She was a volunteer at the Amherst Museum and a member of the Amherst Central Alumni Foundation and the Amherst Republican Women's Association. She was an elections inspector for the Town of Amherst.
Survivors include a daughter, Wendy Thompson of Pittsburgh; a son, John of Budd Lake, N.J.; a sister, Virginia Lee Coon of Eggertsville; and two grandchildren.
