Helen K. Zebrun, retired owner of an Angola market, died Wednesday in her Stockton home after a lengthy illness. She was 90.
Born Helen Kakook in Union City, Pa., she moved several times as a child before graduating from Woodlawn High School in Lackawanna.
Mrs. Zebrun moved to Angola in 1939. She and her husband, Alexander, owned and operated the Midget Market there for many years and were known for treating their customers well.
She closed the store in 1990 after the death of her husband and moved to Stockton two years later.
She enjoyed painting and collecting coins.
Survivors include a daughter, Alexandria Z. Gelencser of Stockton; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Hamburg.
