Alice Campbell, ran, co-owned pharmacy
July 29, 1908 -- Jan. 28, 2006

Alice Campbell, who ran Campbell's Pharmacy, died Jan. 28 in Highland Hospital, Rochester. She was 97.

Born Alice Gardinier in Buffalo, she graduated from Hutchinson-Central High School. She also lived in East Aurora, Clearwater, Fla., Dallas and, most recently, Fairport.

She and her husband of 66 years, Charles, owned and operated Campbell's Pharmacy, on the corner of South Park and Good avenues in South Buffalo, for about 40 years, retiring in the early 1970s.

Mrs. Campbell was an avid golfer and bridge player and enjoyed singing and dancing.

Her husband, Charles, died in 1996.

Survivors include a daughter, Carol Seebold of Fairport; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Mountain Rise United Church of Christ, 2 Mountain Rise, Fairport.
