Anna K. Comstock, an Akron resident, died unexpectedly Thursday in Brothers of Mercy Rehabilitation Center, Clarence. She was 83.
A Newstead native, the former Anna K. Bistoff graduated from Parker High School in Clarence in 1938.
She managed the Newstead Hotel in Akron for several years and was a member of First Baptist Church in Akron. She also was a member of the Akron-Newstead Senior Citizens and Wales Center Seniors, as well as bookkeeper and treasurer for the Parker High School Class Reunion Committee.
Her husband, Alan, died in 1980. Her former husband, John Gudridge, died in 1986.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Smith of Akron and Jane of Kensington, Md.; a son, Brian of Hawthorne, Fla.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church, 122 Main St., Akron. Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery, Akron.
