Alice M. Mariglia, a homemaker who worked for about 10 years in a portrait studio, died Thursday in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a short illness. She was 68.
Mrs. Mariglia was born Alice DeFreitus in Buffalo, where she graduated from South Park High School in 1955. She moved to Niagara Falls in 1963.
Mrs. Mariglia worked as a sales representative at Olan Mills portrait studio in Niagara falls during the 1980s and early 1990s.
A member of Price of Peace Catholic Church, she was a Buffalo Bills fan and enjoyed dancing, baking and working out.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Valentino; four sons, Christopher of West Seneca, Michael of Niagara Falls, Ont., Mark of North Tonawanda and Matthew of Lewiston; a brother, Emmanuel DeFreitus of Oklahoma; and eight grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Monday in Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1055 N. Military Road, following prayers at 9:30 in M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Town of Niagara. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston.
