WHEATFIELD -- Theresa "Terri" Jacobs, a registered nurse for 15 years in the intensive care unit at Women and Children's Hospital, Buffalo, died unexpectedly last Friday in DeGraff Memorial Hospital, North Tonawanda. She was 48.
A native of Niagara Falls, she was a graduate of Niagara-Wheatfield High School and earned a bachelor's degree in science at D'Youville College.
During college, she worked at Mary Agnes Manor and Columbus Hospital, both in Buffalo. She also worked for five years in the Western New York Poison Center, which is at Women and Children's Hospital.
Surviving are her mother, Ellen of Wheatfield; two sisters, Patricia A. Spoth of the City of Tonawanda and Donna Boland of Ransomville; and four brothers, William J. Jr. of Cheektowaga, John A. Sr. of Ransomville, David A. of Abilene, Texas, and Michael C. Gillis of Williamsville.
Services were held today in Lane Funeral Home, Niagara Falls. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston.
