Vita Jankowski March 12, 1921 -- Feb. 7, 2006

A Mass of Christian Burial for Vita Jankowski of Niagara Falls, a former Moore Business Forms employee, was offered today in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Entombment was in St. Joseph Mausoleum.

Mrs. Jankowski died Tuesday in Schoellkopf Health Care Center after a brief illness. She was 84.

Born Vita Ferro in Dunkirk, she moved to Niagara Falls as a young girl and graduated from Niagara Falls High School.

She was a keypunch operator at Moore during the 1960s and later worked in housekeeping at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. She retired in 1985.

Her husband, Theodore "Red," died in 2004.

Survivors include two sons, Nicholas of Niagara Falls and Thaddeus of the Town of Niagara; two daughters, Ann Flack of Lewiston and Diane Wills of Town of Niagara; three brothers, Angelo Ferro of Memphis, Tenn.; Joseph Ferro of South Carolina and James Ferro of Buffalo; two sisters, Santa LeClair and Joanne Johnson, both of Niagara Falls; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
