Ruth C. Bonn, a retired insurance adjuster, died Monday in Northgate Manor, Wheatfield, after a long illness. She was 83.
A native of Buffalo, she had been a longtime resident of the Williamstowne Apartments in Cheektowaga.
Miss Bonn worked as an insurance adjuster for A.E. Staeger Insurance Co., West Seneca, from 1970 until retiring in 1989.
A longtime bowler in a league with Infant of Prague Catholic Church, Cheektowaga, Miss Bonn also had been a member of St. Bartholomew and Most Holy Redeemer parishes.
She enjoyed embroidery and rose gardening, and had coached girls softball in Cheektowaga.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary A. Knoll of Amherst, Robbie Bonn-Blech of Palatine, Ill., and Anne Wanda Fronckowiak of Cheektowaga; two sons, Mark Fronckowiak of Williamsville and Ross R. Bonn of Dana Point, Calif.; a sister, Marge Hayes of Cheektowaga; and five grandchildren.
Prayers will be said at 9:15 a.m. Friday in Amigone Funeral Home, 569 Cleveland Drive, Cheektowaga, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in Most Holy Redeemer Church, Genesee Street and Avery Place, Cheektowaga. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cheektowaga.
