Beatrice A. Dwyer of Kenmore, who worked as a nanny for several years, died Sunday in Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, after a brief illness. She was 56.
Born Beatrice Billanti in Buffalo, she was a graduate of Kenmore East High School and earned an associate's degree from Bryant & Stratton Business Institute.
Mrs. Dwyer worked as a nanny in many homes in the region from the early 1980s until 2003. She had a passion for bears and enjoyed collecting stuffed bears.
Surviving are a son, Carey of Pendleton; her mother, Beatrice Sheinberg of Amherst; a brother, John Billanti of North Tonawanda; and two grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Amigone Funeral Home, 2600 Sheridan Drive, Town of Tonawanda. Burial will be in Forest Lawn.
