SILVER SPRINGS -- Carol E. Rood died Sunday in her East Lake Road home after a lengthy illness. She was 64.
Born Carol Howard in Andover, she was a day care provider for several years at Terri's Day Care in Geneseo and also owned and operated Del's IGA store, Silver Springs, with her husband. She was an avid swimmer and enjoyed caring for her dog, Gomer.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Del; four daughters, Tamara Nelke of Denver, Shelly Stuewe of Penfield, Sherry Croll of Perry and Terri Hopper of Geneseo; three brothers, Don Howard and Jeff Howard, both of Warsaw, and Rick Howard of Silver Springs; a sister, Debbie Jett of Florida; and 10 grandchildren.
A service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Letchworth New Life Fellowship Church, 2 N. Main St. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Attica.
