Big 4 three-pointer

It's time for St. Bonaventure coach Anthony Solomon to say thanks-but-no-thanks to fifth-year senior Patrick Lottin. A one-dimensional player who does little but shoot from outside, Lottin's stroke from three-point range has vaporized. He was 16 of 31 from downtown in the season's first four games -- and is 10 for 73 since.

*Charron Fisher's season-ending knee injury opens the possibility that Niagara might finish a game short-handed. With only seven players, a foul-filled affair or an extended overtime contest could leave Joe Mihalich's crew with just four on the court. Yeesh.

*How local hoop fans miss Empire. Here's hoping the folks at Adelphia remember to flip the right switches today so Bona's game at Saint Joseph's and the Akron-Kent State showdown get aired as scheduled on Channel 13. Sunday's Canisius-Fairfield game didn't come on MSG until there were nine minutes left in the second half because Fox coverage was mistakenly left running on the channel, and the recent Ohio-UB game wasn't aired at all because of a last-minute dispute with Fox Ohio.
