Marvin Hamlisch and Valentine's Day -- they go together like dark chocolate and red wine, or cake and ice cream, or love and laughter, or . . . wow, this is pleasant. We could go on all day.
But we can't, because time is running out. Just a week is left before Hamlisch, the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra's principal pops conductor, conducts a special Valentine's Day program. Next weekend, the maestro dishes out a night of romantic melodies. He'll be joined by vocal soloists whose names haven't yet been released, but who are expected to be excellent.
Toast romance with Hamlisch and the BPO next Friday and Feb. 11 at 8 p.m. in Kleinhans Music Hall. Admission is $15 to $67. For more information, call 885-5000.
