A memorial service for Beverly A. Rankin, a plastics technician, will be held at 5 p.m. today in St. John Baptist Church, 184 Goodell St.
Burial was in Georgetown Memorial Park, Jacksonville, N.C.
She died unexpectedly Jan. 20 in Erie County Medical Center of a brain aneurysm. She was 43.
Born Beverly Pointe in Jacksonville, N.C., she attended Jacksonville High School. She came to Buffalo in 1980 and attended Erie Community College.
She worked for the past 18 years as a plastics technician for Protective Industries.
Survivors include her husband, Henry Jr.; her father, Robert Pointe of Jacksonville; her mother, Corine Gary of Buffalo; two sisters, Anna Strong and Janet Pointe, both of Buffalo; a brother, John F. Pointe of Buffalo; and a nephew who was raised in her home, Russell D. Pointe of Buffalo.
