Services for Isaiah Allen, a retired machine operator who never missed a day of work during 30 years at the Dresser Industries plant in Depew, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Cold Spring Church of God in Christ, 107 Verplanck St.
Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, West Seneca.
Mr. Allen, who was born and raised in Norfolk, Va., died Sunday at his Buffalo residence after a brief illness. He was 81.
Family members said he never missed a day of work at the Dresser plant from the time he started until he retired in 1981.
He also took pride in having 91 living descendants.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, the former Lulu B. Hawkins; four daughters, Jacoula Hamlett, Marie Brown and Rosa, all of Buffalo, and Artilua of Duluth, Ga.; four sons, Isaiah Jr., Joseph and Isaac, all of Buffalo, and Willie of Hampton, Va.; a sister, Estelle Drake of Virginia; 36 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
