Richard F. Robinson, 69, of Tonawanda, died Saturday at Kenmore Mercy Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Buffalo, he graduated from Kensington High School in 1954. From 1956 to 1960, he served in the U.S. Air Force working in the medic flight surgeon's office and was selected to go to England to set up a portable hospital.
Mr. Robinson worked in the sales department at Industrial Bearing in Cheektowaga from 1986 until 2001, when he was forced to leave by his illness.
He was a Mason, and a member of the Bear Lake Conservation Club and the Amigo's Business Club.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart, then wife of 45 years, the former Margery Jean Boorman; a son, Mark of Wheatfield; a daughter, Linda Geraci of Wheatfield; a sister, Diane Mulhisen of Eden; a brother, Donald of the Villages, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in Amigone Funeral Home, 2600 Sheridan Drive, Town of Tonawanda. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Park, Amherst.
