DRIVER, PASSENGER FACE CHARGES AFTER TRAFFIC STOP

- Police chased a car that they said ran a stop sign on Mackenna Avenue early Saturday, charging the driver with drunken driving and a passenger with a felony narcotics count.

Chad A. Caudill, 30, of 22nd Street, was taken into custody at 1 a.m. on charges of driving while intoxicated, passing a stop sign and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, police said.

A passenger in the car, 29-year-old Cory K. Keiper of Macklem Avenue, was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Police said they found Keiper had cocaine in a small bag.
