NFTA IDENTIFIES WOMAN KILLED BY METRO BUS

Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority officials on Friday identified the woman who died Thursday night after being hit by a Metro bus in downtown Buffalo as Nancy Trzaski, 56, of Cass Street.

She was crossing Pearl Street at Court Street at 6:40 p.m. when she was hit by the left front section of the bus, according to Douglas Hartmayer, NFTA spokesman. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

After the accident, the bus driver was to undergo routine drug and alcohol testing, Hartmayer said. The driver's name was withheld.
