Stanley D. Lukasik of Depew, a retired construction driver, died Wednesday in St. Joseph Hospital, Cheektowaga, after a brief illness. He was 78.
Born in Buffalo, he attended Sloan High School.
He served in the Army during World War II.
Mr. Lukasik worked as a construction driver for the South Buffalo Railway of Bethlehem Steel Corp. from 1949 until retiring in 1980.
His wife of 41 years, Felicia Kaznowski Lukasik, died in 1990.
Survivors include three sons Stanley D. of Gilbert, Ariz., and Michael J. and David, both of Depew; a sister, Mary Kluck of West Seneca; and five grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 1O a.m. Saturday in SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 86 Burlington Ave., Depew. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Cheektowaga.
