A memorial service for Marion W. Paul, a one-time beautician and homemaker, was held this morning in Unity Church of Practical Christianity. Burial was in Forest Lawn.
Mrs. Paul died Wednesday in her son's Buffalo home. She was 96.
Born Marion Majchrzak in Buffalo, she attended city schools and operated a beauty shop on Sycamore Street for many years before marrying Dr. Augustus C. Paul in 1945.
A music lover, Mrs. Paul used to sing show tunes from the 1930s and 1940s to patrons of her parlor. It was a hobby she continued with family and friends until her final days.
Her husband died in 1969.
Surving are a son, James J., and two granddaughters.
