2 ACCUSED OF PULLING ALARMS AT HIGH SCHOOL

After a tense day filled with unfounded rumors of guns and gang violence Wednesday at Niagara Falls High School, things appeared to be quieting down Thursday until pranksters pulled the fire alarm, city police said.

Eric Majka, 17, of Point Avenue, and Alex Hoffman, 16, of 99th Street, were both arrested by school safety officers at 12:50 p.m., police said. The boys were charged with falsely reporting an emergency.

There have been reports of violence in the wake of the fatal shooting last week of a 16-year-old student who police said was trying to rob a pizza deliveryman.
