A 20-year-old Ithaca College student died after apparently falling from a window in his eighth-floor dormitory room, school officials said.
Morgan Potter, a sophomore computer-science major from Montrose, Pa., was found dead outside the West Tower residence hall early Tuesday morning and pronounced dead at the scene, said Brian McAree, vice president for student affairs and campus life.
"When he was found, the window was open and the screen had been removed from the window," said Dave Maley of the college media relations office. "The window does not extend very close to the floor. There's no indication there was any foul play involved and there doesn't appear to be any mechanical failure with the window or the screen."
