Cellino & Barnes, a personal injury law firm, has opened a satellite office in Amherst.
Four attorneys started working last week at 50 Corporate Parkway in the University Corporate Centre, a development off Maple Road that is owned by Uniland Development Corp.
Charles Schwab & Co., a discount brokerage, occupied the 4,500 square feet until December when the corporation closed the four-person office and opened a one-person, appointment-only location in another Amherst location. With the arrival of Cellino & Barnes, the 372,000-square-foot Corporate Centre is once again fully leased.
Cellino & Barnes is looking to hire two more attorneys for its Amherst office, said Daryl Ciambella, the firm's chief operating officer.
"It's a great location for our Northtowns clients," he said. "It's much more convenient and we can provide better customer service."
Cellino & Barnes has its main office with 21 attorneys on Court Street. It opened its first satellite office a few years ago at Grider and Sussex streets, across from the Erie County Medical Center. In about three months, it will open another satellite office on the ground floor of the Statler Towers. A 210-foot striped maroon awning with the firm's name will hang over the entrance.
Cellino & Barnes may next open a location in the Southtowns, Ciambella said.
