ANNUAL PRECAUTION: REMOVING LOOSE ROCK

Spring cleaning: Geological engineers from Golder Associates begin their descent Wednesday into the Niagara Gorge next to the Horseshoe Falls in Canada for the annual trimming of the rock wall from the edge of the falls over to Table Rock. The engineers inspect the wall for movement and Niagara Parks Commission crews remove any rocks and shale that have loosened over the winter and might pose a threat to tourists on the observation plaza below.
