The 26th annual forum and luncheon of Women for Human Rights and Dignity will be held Saturday in the Statler Towers Golden Ballroom and Terrace.
This year's theme is "Toward the Next Quarter Century of Service -- Empowerment for Maximum Achievement."
The forum, which begins at 9 a.m., will explore such topics as homelessness, family treatment court, kinship care, adoption, foster care, and housing and supportive services.
Seating for the luncheon will begin at 11:45 a.m. The keynote speaker will be Liz Murray, whose story of achievement was chronicled in "Homeless to Harvard," an Emmy-nominated movie made for the cable network Lifetime.
Awards also will be presented: Chairwoman Award, Garnet H. Wallace; Community Service Award, Dorcas L. Colvin; Staff Award, Sybil L. Peterson; and Superior Volunteer Award, State Supreme Court Justice Norman E. Joslin.
