Mattye Todd, a longtime Buffalo resident, died Saturday of natural causes in Sisters Hospital. She was 70.
She was born Mattye Gates in Lafayette, Ala., where she graduated from high school. She moved to Buffalo when she was 18 and moved in 1976 to Racine, Wis., where she was laundry supervisor at a nursing facility. She retired in 1991 and moved back to Buffalo.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby of Atlanta; two daughters, Barbara White and Bettye Lynch, both of Buffalo; two brothers, William Holmes and Tommie Gates, both of Buffalo; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Greater Hope Baptist Church, 8 Verplanck St. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, West Seneca.
