JUNE 13, 1916 -- APRIL 25, 2005

Helen T. Majewski, a waitress in area restaurants and saleswoman in area department stores, died Monday in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence, Lewiston, after a long illness. She was 88.

Born Helen Jarosz in Niagara Falls, she graduated from Niagara Falls High School.

Her last job was in sales at Beir's department store, from which she retired in 1980.

Mrs. Majewski was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and Woodcraft Court 444, Women of the World.

Her husband, Felix, died in 1984.

Survivors include a daughter, Helen Abel of Niagara Falls; a son, Donald F. of Stillwater, Minn.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Holy Trinity Church, 1419 Falls St., Niagara Falls, after prayers at 9 in Zajac Funeral Home, 319 24th St., Niagara Falls. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston.
