The good news is that temperatures will rise to the 60s on Tuesday. The bad news is that it's probably going to rain every day this week.
"There's a 30 to 40 percent chance of precipitation, although just showers, every day this week through Friday," says Chuck Tingley, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service. "There may be a break on Saturday but then a chance of more rain Saturday night."
Today's high will be in the upper 40s, and the low tonight won't go below 40 degrees. A mix of rain and snow showers this morning will turn to rain showers this afternoon. Up to 5 inches of snow was expected in the Southern Tier counties overnight, while an inch or so was forecast elsewhere.
The high will be in the low to mid 60s on Tuesday, when it will be windy, with the rain returning during the afternoon.
