MEDICAID MUST BE RESTRUCTURED SO IT CAN ASSIST TRULY NEEDY

Medicaid and Medicare abuse seems to be rampant. Take a cab to the emergency room for a runny nose. The way it stands now, it's easy to do. No one should be denied the service he needs, if he truly needs it. But the abuse of the system has to stop.

We need to enact a three-tiered plan whereby everyone has to pay a co-pay for any procedure performed. For instance, require a small co-pay for small services such as doctor visits. Require a little bit larger co-pay for more advanced procedures. And finally, require a very large co-pay for the least-needed procedures, such as cosmetic surgery.

Furthermore, everyone who goes to pick up a prescription at a pharmacy must pay the co-pay (or at least a portion) or he does not receive the medication.

With a plan like this in place, we would not have to worry that the system would go bankrupt, and all people could get the service they rightly deserve.
