Mary K. Tripoli Waddell, 81, a longtime City of Tonawanda resident, died Thursday in Northgate Manor Health Care Facility in Wheatfield after a long illness.
Born Mary Carr in Clyde, she moved to the City of Tonawanda in the 1960s.
Mrs. Waddell was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in North Tonawanda and was once active in the Women's Democratic Club.
She is survived by three daughters, Lynn Guiher of North Tonawanda, Jean Gendron of Wheatfield, and Rosalie Warner of Beaverton, Ore.; a son, Michael Tripoli of Amherst; her former husband, John Tripoli of Kenmore; four sisters, Beverly Van Hoover, Charlotte Damick, Barbara Rosa and Margaret Percy, all of Newark; six brothers, Joseph, Robert, Charles, Donald, John and Timothy Carr, all of Newark; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in John O. Roth Funeral Home, 25 William St., City of Tonawanda.
Ashes will be privately entombed in St. Mark's Episcopal Church, North Tonawanda.
