HEAD-ON CRASH SENDS TWO MEN TO HOSPITALS

A motorist was charged with driving while intoxicated after two vehicles collided head-on Saturday night on Route 98.

Wyoming County Sheriff's Department also charged Donald Cooper, 21, of North Java, with failure to keep right.

Deputies said Cooper's southbound Pontiac Grand Prix crossed the center line at 8:35 p.m. into the path of a northbound Ford Ranger driven by Russell Nash, 19, of Sheldon.

Nash, whose pickup landed on its side, was taken to Erie County Medical Center with a broken leg. Cooper was taken to Wyoming County Community Hospital with leg, back and neck pain.
