TEEN FIRES GUN INTO CAR AT STOP SIGN; TWO HURT

A teenager armed with a gun walked up to a car approaching a stop sign on 10th Street Friday night and began firing, leaving two women in the car with non-life-threatening injuries, Central District police reported Saturday.

The assailant fired through the passenger-side window. The bullet grazed the arm of one passenger and lodged in the driver's upper thigh, according to police reports. The two women, 18 and 30 years old, were taken to Mercy Hospital.

The passenger window, rear passenger door, rear light and the car's trunk all were damaged by bullets, police said.
