Christopher P. Bergey, 32, of Ninth Street, Niagara Falls, pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree rape Friday in Niagara County Court. Judge Sara Sheldon Sperrazza scheduled sentencing June 3.
Bergey admitted raping two women in their Niagara Falls apartments, one June 20 and the other June 30. He was a maintenance worker in the Rainbow Boulevard apartment complex where the rapes occurred.
In another sex case before Sperrazza on Friday, Ronnie H. Chandler, 19, also of Ninth Street, pleaded not guilty to three counts of first-degree sexual abuse. He is accused of molesting a girl under the age of 11 on March 31 in Niagara Falls.
