CHASE ENDS WITH FALL INTO COVERED POOL

A Humboldt Parkway man faces several charges following a police chase in which he broke into a dance studio and then fell into a covered swimming pool, Buffalo police said.

James Saxon, 49, was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, resisting arrest, criminal mischief and petit larceny.

He is accused of initially breaking into a car on North Street at about 7:50 p.m., when Central District Officers Robert Chappell and William Rieman chased him on foot.

Saxon broke into a dance studio while a class was in progress, then a nearby garage, before scaling a stockade fence on Linwood Avenue, only to land in a covered swimming pool, police said.
