2 FOUND ON PREMISES OF LANDSCAPER ARRESTED

Amherst police arrested two men after the operator of a Meyer Road landscaping business said he was awakened by noises and saw a suspicious vehicle on his property in the middle of the night.

The owner, who lives on the premises, called Amherst police at about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Officer James Caputi charged Michael J. Reczek, 34, of Wanda Avenue, Cheektowaga, and Jeffrey C. Kowal, 43, of Ludington Street, Buffalo, with criminal trespass and possession of burglar's tools.

The two men told police they were there to fill out job applications.
