SUSPECT ALLEGEDLY HIT, STABBED WOMAN IN FIGHT

A Niagara Avenue man was arrested Tuesday on charges in connection with a woman being threatened with a steak knife on Monday night.

Levester J. Rose Jr., 56, pleaded not guilty to second-degree harassment, second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Bail was set at $1,000 cash or $2,000 property and he was remanded to Niagara County Jail. The case was adjourned to Friday.

A 10th Street woman told police the man started a fight and hit her in the face and stabbed at her with a steak knife.
