EDWARD J. EVERETT
SEPT. 30, 1924 -- APRIL 17, 2005

Edward J. Everett of Williamsville, a retired steamfitter and an Army veteran of World War II, died Sunday in Episcopal Church Home after a lengthy illness. He was 80.

Mr. Everett was born in Buffalo and was a lifelong resident of the Buffalo area. For 55 years, he worked as a steamfitter and construction engineer as a member of Local 22, Plumbers & Steamfitters.

During the war, he was a member of the 78th Quartermaster Company, which saw combat in central Europe.

He was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Amherst.

Surviving are his wife, Charlotte Serach Everett of Williamsville; a son, Craig of California; four stepsons, James Serach of Massachusetts, Joseph Serach of Cheektowaga, Michael Serach of Florida and Christopher Serach of Rome, N.Y.; a sister, Marjorie Schalk of Clarence; three grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren.

A memorial Mass will be offered at 10:45 a.m. Thursday in St. Gregory the Great Church, 200 St. Gregory Court, off Maple Road, Amherst.
