Stephen A. Alongi, 38, of Buffalo, a restaurant worker, died unexpectedly Friday in his Niagara Falls home.
Born in Martin's Ferry, Ohio, he moved with his family to Niagara Falls when he was an infant. He attended St. Stanislaus Kostka School and was a 1984 graduate of Niagara Falls High School.
Mr. Alongi attended Niagara County Community College, Erie Community College and Buffalo State College. He worked at various restaurants in the Buffalo area, most recently as a baker at Spot Coffee on Elmwood Avenue.
Survivors include his parents, Stephen of the Town of Niagara and Louise Dusher of Niagara Falls; four brothers, Kenneth, Daniel and Robert Dusher, all of Niagara Fall, and Anthony of Rochester; and four sisters, Karen House, Diane Phillips, Deborah Carella and Erin Schwenkbeck, all of Niagara Falls.
Services were held today in Zajac Funeral Home. Burial was private.
