MAN SERIOUSLY HURT BY HIT-AND-RUN DRIVER

A 30-year-old Buffalo man was seriously injured today when he was struck by a car while walking on Jefferson Avenue in a hit-and-run collision, police said.

Omar Hill of Sherman Street was listed in serious condition in the intensive care unit of the Erie County Medical Center.

Ferry-Fillmore District police said that at about 3:10 a.m, a maroon car struck Hill in the 800 block of Jefferson Avenue and drove away.

Police said Hill suffered severe head injuries. Rural/Metro Medical Services paramedics transported him to the hospital.

The vehicle was described as 1995 four-door Oldsmobile and was occupied by two or more men.

Detectives in the Major Crimes Unit were called in to investigate. No arrest has been made.
