FIVE STUDENTS CHARGED IN THEFT OF LAPTOPS

Five Performing Arts Academy students were arrested Monday on felony charges in connection with the thefts of several laptop computers from a school storage room, Buffalo police reported.

Michael A. Polak, 16, of Benzinger Street, and Adrian A. Guadalupe, 16, of Seventh Street, were both charged with grand larceny for allegedly stealing six laptop computers at about 9 a.m. Friday from the school. Total value of the computers was $9,000.

Jacob D. Jaroszewski, 17, of Thomas Street, and Craig J. Gusmann, 18, of Downing Avenue, were charged with grand larceny and possessing stolen property after they allegedly stole two computers, valued at $1,500 each.

Michael L. Hansen, 16, of Jones Street, faces five counts of criminal possession of stolen property after he was allegedly found in possession of five of the stolen computers.
