COMMUTING CONCERNS
TROUBLE SPOTS FOR THE COMING WEEK

Main Street/Route 5 (City of Buffalo): Main Street reconstruction has resumed between Winspear and Hertel avenues. There will be major lane restrictions for the next several weeks.

Route 130/Broadway (Town of Cheektowaga): Right lane of eastbound traffic, at Harlem Road, will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Road work is weather-sensitive.

Lewiston-Queenston Bridge: Eastbound and westbound bridge traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction all week as part of a project to add a fifth lane to the span. The project will affect traffic for several months.

Route 400 (Towns of Holland and Elma): There will be lane restrictions from Route 16 in the Town of Hollard to Rice Road in Elma Monday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Route 240 (Town of Boston): There will be lane restrictions on Tuesday and Wednesday between Boston Colden Road and Holland Glenwood Road from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Olean Road/Route 16 (Town of East Aurora): There will be shoulder restrictions between Route 400 South and Route 400 North Monday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Niagara Thruway/I-190 (City of Buffalo): There will be lane restrictions in the Northbound lanes beyond Exit 5/Hamburg to before Exit 6/Elm Street Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Route 5/Route 20 Bridge (Town of Brant): An 18-ton weight limit is being enforced on this bridge over Cattaraugus Creek. Large commercial vehicles should take an alternate route.

Transit Road/Routes 7 8/2 0 (Towns of West Seneca and Cheektowaga): The right lane of Transit Road will be closed from Clinton Street to French Road Tuesday through Friday.

Route 5 (City of Buffalo): There will be lane restrictions from Fuhrmann Boulevard to Church Street Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Erie Road/Route 5 (Town of Evans): Route 5 will have shoulder restrictions from Wisconsin Road to Nettle Creek Road on Tuesday from 3 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Route 219 (Town of Boston): Lane restrictions at Shero Road from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Sunday.

Tonawanda Creek Road (Clarence): Tonawanda Creek Road from Transit Road (Route 78) to Westphalinger Road is closed. Detours are posted.
