First Niagara Bank promoted Jim Barnett Jr. to vice president. Most recently assistant vice president, Barnett joined the bank in 1999 as a banking officer, branch manager. He is campaign chairman of the Finance Sector for the United Way of Niagara and treasurer of the Center City Neighborhood Development Corp.

Lifetime Health Medical Group, a health care provider, named Deborah Carlascio regional director of operations. With the health care provider since 1994, Carlascio most recently was director of ancillary services for Rochester and Western New York. She has more than 16 years of health care operations experience.

Calspan Corp., a Cheektowaga technology company, promoted Kannankote S. Govindaraj to vice president of Technical Operations. Previously, Govindaraj was technical director. He obtained a PhD in electrical engineering from the University at Buffalo.

The board of directors of Cornerstone Community Federal Credit Union, headquartered in Lockport, elected David Nemi, business/marketing professor at Niagara County Community College, chairman. Other officers: First vice chairman, A. Angelo DiMillo, partner, Muscato, DiMillo and Vona; second vice chairman, Gabriel McCaughey; treasurer, James M. Szatkowski and secretary, Sally J. Moore. Directors: John Tolli, Molly Cocco, and James Budde.

North American Health Plans, a health claims administrator, named Roberta Wachtelhausen senior vice president, sales and marketing. Previously, Wachtelhausen was head of National Account Sales for CIGNA Healthcare.

URS Corp., an engineering firm, named Maria C. Lehman vice president in the Buffalo office. She most recently was Commissioner of Public Works for Erie County. She is a civil engineering graduate from the University at Buffalo and is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, American Association of Engineering Societies, the National Society of Professional Engineers, the Highway Users Alliance and the American Public Works Association.

Gelia Wells and Mohr, a marketing communications agency, named Randy Callesto direct marketing manager. A University at Buffalo graduate, Callesto previously was a technical support supervisor for Adelphia Communications. Also, the agency named Erin Carney administrative coordinator. Carney,most recently, was a medical transcriptionist at Allegiance Health. She is a graduate from Alfred State College.

ABC-Amega, a global commercial receivable management firm headquartered in Buffalo, named Domenic DiLoreto regional vice president-mid-Atlantic. DiLoreto joined the firm in 2000 after previously serving as a commercial lending officer in the banking industry. He is a management and finance graduate from Canisius College.
