Shirley Rae Fotheringham of Town of Tonawanda, a homemaker, died Wednesday at home surrounded by family after a battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 77.
Born Shirley Rae Murdock in Cleveland, she had been a Tonawanda resident since 1950.
She had a bachelor of science degree from Western Reserve University.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Bethlehem Chapter 634, Group 21-23 of Amherst Community Church and a life member of Beta Sigma Phi Laureate Gamma Chapter.
Survivors include her husband, Charles R.; two daughters, Janet L. Stewart of Bel Air, Md., and Carol J. Rumpl of Kenmore; two sons, Scott A. of Kenmore and Bruce R. of Amherst; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. today in Lester H. Wedekindt Funeral Home, 3290 Delaware Ave., Kenmore. Burial is private.
