Buffalo stocks fell this week, led by Columbus McKinnon Corp. and Mod-Pac Corp.
The Buffalo Bloomberg Stock Index fell 9.48, or 4.3 percent, to 212.09 for the week. Forty-six stocks fell, and nine rose.
Columbus McKinnon, which makes hoists, cranes and other industrial equipment, led the decliners. The shares of the Amherst-based company fell $2.45, or 20 percent, to $9.89.
Mod-Pac, which makes specialty packaging, fell $2.77, or 17 percent, to $13.55. The company is based in Buffalo.
Wilson Greatbatch Technologies, which makes batteries for pacemakers, led the gainers. The Clarence-based company rose 87 cents, or 4.9 percent, to $18.77.
The Buffalo Bloomberg Stock Index reached a 52-week high of 231.18 on Dec. 31, and its 52-week low of 190.26 was on May 17.
